Dan and MargAnn Gadient

Dan and MargAnn became a part of the Kasson-Mantorville community over thirty years ago. It was there they raised their three daughters, Katie, Natalie, and Danielle.

Dan and MargAnn opened the doors to Daniel’s Restaurant on July 1, 1977, in the original location on Kasson’s Main Street. Twenty-four years later, in May of 2001, they moved to their existing location at Daniel’s Plaza.

Recognizing a need for a quality event center in the area, Dan and MargAnn dreamed of establishing a facility to host beautiful weddings, celebrations, meetings, and parties for their neighbors in the community and surrounding area. Partnering with daughter Danielle, Danielle’s husband Matt Schmitz, Daniel’s executive chef Tony Saker, and Tony’s wife Malia, they set to work and EVENTS soon became a reality.

With this combination of skill, experience, and worth ethic—not to mention a dedication to your complete satisfaction—Dan and the rest of the crew at EVENTS will create for you an “Event” you will never forget.

Tony and Malia Saker

Tony Saker was born in Lebanon, and moved to Mankato, MN at the age of twelve. He attended Loyola High School and graduated in 1995. He went on to attend Minnesota State University, Mankato and SCTC where he earned his degreee in Culinary Arts and Restaurant Management.

After graduating, Tony managed Timberlodge Steakhouse in Mankato for five years. Then he went on to purchase his own restaurant.

In 2007, Tony moved to the Byron area with his wife Malia and started managing Daniel's Resauraunt.

Malia (Eustice) Saker was raised in Byron, MN and graduated from Byron High in 1999. She attended Minnesota State University, and earned her degrees in Nursing and Spanish. Malia has been a nurse at St. Mary's Hospital since 2004. Malia and Tony married in 2005, and have one son, Elijah. In May of 2009, Tony and Malia along with their partners purchased EVENTS.

Matt and Danielle Schmitz

Matt and Danielle Schmitz both grew up in the Kasson area and will soon begin to raise a family of their own.

Matt works as a contractor and Danielle is a manager of Daniel’s Restaurant. With a desire to keep it a strong, family-owned and operated business, Matt and Danielle plan to take over Daniel’s Restaurant in the near future.

Both Matt and Danielle played an active role in the launching of EVENTS. They are excited to be a part of this new establishment and look forward to a bright future of hosting many memory-making celebrations for their patrons.
